When you submit your claim, you have to provide certain documents for the claims department to be able to assess and settle your claim. For medical claims you will usually need original medical accounts and receipts. For loss of personal belongings claims, you will need a police report and proof of ownership for the items. Your case manager will let you know if they need you to submit any other documentation.

ALL documents will need to be translated into English.

When a personal belongings claim is received, you have to provide proof of ownership for the lost or stolen items. Typically, the claims department will accept photographic evidence, warranty cards, manuals, receipts, bank or credit card statements as proof of ownership.

If the police don't write you a report for the stolen items, you should obtain a report from your holiday representative, hotelier or local tourist office wherever possible confirming the loss and reasons why the police would not assist you. All claims are paid in Australian dollars and the rate of currency exchange used is the rate at the time you incurred the expense.
